Job Description

Company & Role ProfileWorking for a market leading business who manufacture high performance electrical cable assemblies and control panels for defence, aerospace, marine, industrial, and commercial applications.This position requires someone to work on a part-time basis (30 hours per week).Given the scope and size of this global organisation this is an extremely varied all-encompassing HR role.Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide expert coaching and advice to managers on HR matters including policy, procedures, employment law, employee relations, and organisational values
  • Support line managers with disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases
  • Work collaboratively with employees, managers and Occupational Health to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of employees
  • Assist colleagues and managers to develop their skills in terms of HR knowledge and people management
  • Make effective use of the HR Information System (HRIS) to support managers, monitor potential issues, and provide high-quality reports where required
  • Update and support relevant managers with monthly headcount and forecasting data
  • Take a leading role in recruitment activities to ensure processes run smoothly and internal practices meet the needs of the various functions/levels. Develop effective relationships with recruitment agencies where required
  • Ensuring individual Terms and Conditions and Job Descriptions are kept up to date
  • Support managers in identifying training and development requirements.
  • Providing training/coaching for managers on HR related topics
Candidate requirements
  • CIPD qualified or studying towards gaining the qualification
  • Prior experience in HR
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • HR systems experience
  • Ability to deal effectively with change and ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills
