Design ManagerHull£55000 + Excellent benefitsExcellent opportunity for a design manager to join a growing and ambitious company who operate within the renewable energy industry and where you will be given full autonomy to stamp your mark on the design department.This company are looking for an experienced M&E Designer who will be responsible for carrying out detailed construction level designs for large scale heatpump focused energy centres. Projects mainly consist or Low Carbon Energy Centres including but notlimited to Heat Pumps, CHP plant, boilers, ASHP, packaged plantrooms, design, controls, flushing testing and commissioning.In this role you will be tasked with leading and building the design engineering department. You will be developing designs for new and existing projects, based in the district/process heat sector to commercial/industrial clients. You will also be attendingclient meetings, site visits and leading on commissioning of systems to meet contractual requirements.The ideal candidate will be a design manager who has a background in building and development design team.This is a great role for someone to join a renewable energy industry where you will play a key role in this companies growth and development.The role:*Developing designs for new and existing projects, based in the district/process heat sector to commercial/industrial clients.*Working on developing new schemes/design and their specifications before reaching contract stage.*Compiling technical documents, specifications, and sub-tender packages to assist in delivery of projects.*Manage timely delivery of tender documents including inputting into bid writing, compiling of associated documents and leading the design on the requirements.*Ensure effective completion of specification and design processes using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise.*Ensuring the design processes recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practise where appropriate.*Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.*Complete necessary administration of project and legal documentation as and when required *Support the business by completing relevant project documentation and customer account administration.*Attending client meetings, site visits and leading on commissioning of systems to meet contractual requirements.The person*Experience in developing and implementing new process and procedures into a design department.*Ability to compile and oversee complete cradle to grave design*Strong CAD experience using various software packages*Work with accuracy and attention to detail*Positively influence others to gain commitment and collaboration*Demonstrate a professional personal appearance*Work with high levels of integrity and confidentiality
