Buying Assistant

The OpportunityOn the outskirts of Hexham our client is situated in a beautiful rural village. In a business that is founded on talent and hard work we are pleased to anounce we have been contracted to recruit an Assistant Buyer to work alongside the current team. As an AssistantBuyer you will be paid a salary of up to £25,000 and work Monday to Friday out of the clients offices in Northumberland but travel to the sister site at the Port of Blyth and supplier facilities will be required. Flexible working is an option.The RoleSuccessful applicants will work across projects, supporting engineering teams. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Procurement and expediting of engineering components from quote stage through to delivery.
• Shipping and customs clearance.
• Ownership of spare part projects.
• Collating client Technical Queries and managing deadlines.
• Collating accurate financial and resource information for the Project Owner.
• Production of documentation packs.
• Provide administrative support to the engineering team.
• Visit work sites as required (largely within North East England).
• Participate in training and development programmes, as required.
