The role:Reporting to the Operations Director, the Land Surveyor will undertake land/Topographical/Measured Building Surveys and set up site control using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as Robotic Total Stations, GPS and 3D Scanners/LiDAR.This will involve working away where necessary, with subsistence payment provided.Key duties and responsibilities:

• Analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD and GIS Programs
• Quality control of survey data using on site verification methods and post survey analysis, utilising instrument processing software
• Preparation of Survey Drawings and associated reports, ensuring that deliverables are submitted on time and to a high standard
• Advising clients and providing support to junior staff and colleagues on technical matters
• Responsibility for onsite project management
• Responsibility for onsite liaison with client staff and other relevant third parties
• Ensure that accurate, comprehensive and up to date records are kept of all on-site works, such that would be possible at any point to hand over project management in the event of sickness or programming constraints
• Training colleagues on the proper procedures, processes, equipment and systems to ensure ongoing competence
• Frequent Nighttime working
• A commitment to Health and Safety on behalf of oneself and the wider team.

Person specification:

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and problem-solving approach to work and tasks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team or under own direction where required
• Full UK Driving License.
