Job Description

Brief OverviewThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a building envelope specialist sub-contractor in the North WestPackage £40k to £45kAbout our ClientMy client has been established for the past 40 years working on some of the most prestigious industrial roofing, cladding and rainscreen projects across the UK. Now they are looking to bring a Structural Engineer to work from their office in the North West.About the Role

  • Production of structural designs associated with concrete, steel, timber and masonry materials.
  • Structural design of permanent works, in accordance with relevant design standards and codes of practice.
  • Carrying out structural assessments of all forms of structures
  • Supporting local authorities in their asset management strategies, by leading inspections of highway structures and site surveys.
  • Manage health and safety during the design and construction phases.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documents by preparing fee proposals and quality statements.
  • Within this role you will be running projects independently. Working on new build, refurbishment and surveying projects. In terms of the project range, you will work on mainly residential, commercial and industrial schemes. As the role develops, you will also have the opportunity to grow and become a junior partner in the business.
    • About the Candidate
  • A degree in civil or structural engineering,
  • A minimum of 3 years experience,
  • Good working knowledge of building structures,
  • Ideally experience in building envelope
