Job Description

Job: Senior Premises OfficerSalary: £15.50 - 16.50 per hourLocation: BromleyAre you a school premises superstar looking for your next exciting role as a Senior Premises Officer!If so, Richard Patton at Tradewind Recruitment would love to talk to you!An excellent school in Bromley are looking to recruit their next Senior Premises Officer with the following responsibilities:

  • Grounds upkeep, which involves maintaining cleanliness on hard surfaces and paths by removing litter, leaves, weeds, and other debris, as well as conducting grass cutting, pruning, weeding, planting, and overseeing the maintenance of sports fields and otherathletic amenities
  • Security tasks, including both regular and irregular opening of buildings and grounds, and being available as a keyholder for telephone inquiries outside of regular hours
  • Cleaning and facility maintenance, which includes executing improvements and repairs, and promptly reporting any defects
  • Management of facility rentals, including those occurring during evenings and weekends, ensuring premises are clean and satisfactory both before and after rentals, and being present throughout the rental period
  • Health and safety oversight, ensuring adequate precautions are in place at all times and reporting any violations or defects
  • Fire safety measures, such as equipment checks and maintenance of escape routes
  • General duties including mail and goods transportation on-site, as well as furniture movement and setup
Qualifications and Attributes Applications are encouraged from individuals who possess:
  • A Level qualifications or equivalent
  • Basic familiarity with Health and Safety regulations
  • Proficiency in one or more of plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, or heating systems through relevant training
  • Basic understanding of heating and ventilation system operations and common malfunction causes
  • Familiarity with maintenance and security systems and protocols
  • Supervisory skills knowledge
  • Understanding of appropriate cleaning techniques and standards
  • Experience working in a school or educational environment with children and young adults
  • Considerable experience in DIY tasks
