Job Description

Annual salary: up to £60,000.00 Senior Commercial Manager EalingFull Time Permanent Salary up to £60,000 Per Annum, plus £4,800 Car Allowance“A desire to make a positive difference wherever we operate has always been at the heart of our business. It was 30 years ago when we were a small maintenance contractor with a single van; and it still is now we are a truly national company”.About the Role:Due to an exciting recent contract award, we are looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to work within the Pyramid Plus branch. Pyramid Plus is a Joint Venture contract with our partner, a2Dominion, delivering repairs, void, electrical servicingand planned works within a stock size of over 39,000 homes.Aligned to Mears Ltd, this position is an additional role to the branch team structure, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards. The role is based from our current co-locatedoffice in Ealing, but will require occasional travel between different locations within the M25: the properties we maintain within this contract cover a large geographical area and span the M4 corridor, Hampshire area and across London.Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out reviews, audits and forecasts for all aspects of contractual commercial performance cost & value reconciliation (CVR).
  • Establish and monitor indicative commercial targets & incentivisation schemes using MCM data and contract P & Ls to assess profitability and performance versus budget and ensure work valuations are legitimately maximised via the implementation of recommendationsand actions.
  • Review and monitor contracts, converting values across different Schedule of Rates & pricing modules, ensuring metrics are applied to optimise contract performance & resource use, including supplier and sub-contractor payments and negotiation of rates.
  • Promo the commercial awareness and competency of operational staff.
  • Work with all team members to ensure a commercially efficient and effective service is delivered to service users and client and in support of the attainment and maintenance of high levels of satisfaction with performance delivery according to agreed standardoperating / contractual procedures and targets.
Role Criteria:
  • Background or experience of social housing maintenance contracts desirable
  • Experience and proven track record as QS in commercial environment.
  • Experience of partnership/alliance/ collaborative working.
  • Experience of handling multiple tasks in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
  • Problem solving & results orientated;
  • Planning and organisational skills
