Health Visiting band 7 Domestic Violence and Abuse Specialist Health Visitor – part time 3 days per week 22.5 hrs.We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Domestic Violence and Abuse Specialist Health Visitor within the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.In our last CQC inspection LGT Children’s Community Directorate were awarded an "outstanding" rating. The Health Visiting Service was recently re-accredited by UNICEF UK as Baby Friendly Level 3. UNICEF UK commended the service for providing a high standard of care to pregnant women and new mothers and we are now working towards Gold UNICEF accreditation. We are also one of the first London Trusts to implement the MECSH programme and Health Visitors in the service have had the opportunity to present at the annual MECSH conference in Melbourne Australia.We have specialist posts in the service, Infant feeding specialist health visitor, perinatal mental health specialist health visitor and an Informatics specialist health visitor. The domestic violence and abuse specialist health visitor is a new post in our service and you will be responsible for promoting effective working relationships by liaising with colleagues, GP’s, other professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies, organising and delivering IHV training to all grades of clinical and non-clinical staff.The successful candidate will be a resource for practitioners and support them when they are working with complex domestic violence and abuse cases. You will be an excellent communicator who can promote effective working relationships with all health care professionals and agencies.You will be a role model who is supportive to fellow colleagues, team managers and the neighbourhood health visitor lead. You will be an enthusiastic individual, possessing good organisational and communication skills and have the ability as a perinatal mental health specialist to implement new initiatives and to motivate members of the health visiting teams across Lewisham.You will be required to undertake audits, analysis results and present the findings using information technology.
