Job Description

A growing business in the heart of Bromley is looking for a Facilities Manager with previous experience in maintenance and security for buildings and offices, together with procurement, print management and postal services. You will receive a fantastic range of benefits which includes 25 days holiday and a 14% yearly bonus.As a Facilities Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the provision of effective print management and post room services to the company, managing 3 staff within the department.
  • Procurement management within the company expense policy guidelines.
  • Managing the departmental budget, approving payments and constantly reviewing and negotiating the most effective rates when contracts or agreements are renewed.
  • Ensuring the building meets Health and Safety requirements, deputising for the Health and Safety Officer, complying with legal requirements including ESOS.
  • Ensuring the provision of effective 24-hour security and general day to day building services (AC/ventilation system, cleaning, waste disposal, security/fire alarm systems, lifts, vending machines, repairs, removals etc.) and energy management controls.
  • Managing legal aspects of the property such as rent reviews, leasing etc.
  • Recruiting, managing, training and developing the team.
  • Acting as the Deputy Fire Liaison Officer and First Aider.
  • The project management of contracts with supervision and coordination of contractors’ work and carrying out tendering processes when required.
  • We are looking for a Facilities Manager who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Extensive experience in Facilities Management.
  • A relevant Facilities Management qualification or to be qualified by experience.
  • Technical knowledge of building services, environmental issues, ESOS, Health and Safety (IOSH certified), office systems and technologies.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • You will be working 35 hours/7 hours per day – typically 08:30 – 16:30 but on occasion 07:00 – 15:00 or any combinations between this and 11:00 – 19:00.In return, a Facilities Manager will receive a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.To apply for this Facilities Management role, please click apply online and upload an updated copy of your CV.
