Qualified Social Worker - Bromley - Adults Assessment TeamThe London Borough of Bromley Education, Care and Health Services Division are looking for a Senior Social Worker to work within our Bromley MDC (Mottingham, Downham, Chislehurst) Locality Team in Adult Social Care. The Locality team work is ongoing caremanagement interventions and the coordination team leads on annual reviews of support plans, extra care housing support and direct payment work. This service also provides assessments under Care Act 2014 and works with young people transitioning from Childrensservices to Adult services, and beyond. The successful candidate will be supporting Younger Adults with physical disabilities and sensory impairment and Older People to live as independently as they are able and work with their carers to ensure risks are appropriatelymanaged. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality standards. They will be working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good communication and negotiating skills. They willalso be working with Partner Agencies and be required to develop close working relationships with them. The successful candidate will be required to manage Duty as a senior on a rota basis, undertaking Safeguarding work and Best Interest assessments. The seniorwill have supervisory responsibility for both qualified and unqualified social workers; therefore, supervisory experience is essential. We are looking to appoint someone who is suitably qualified, innovative, enthusiastic, a good team player, and very motivated.Benefits in this role:* Supportive team and management* Flexible working available* Long term contract* Progression opportunitiesYour main responsibilities include:* Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support, reflecting the function of the team and the Vulnerable People Service in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.* Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings.* You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.* You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations. Undertake safeguarding investigations and deliver protective and/or supportive services for individuals at risk and maintain up to date assessments,care plans and reviews.* You will be preparing statements of need/care and support plans, in consultation with other agencies as appropriate, that reflect the wishes of the individual and lead to the commissioning of personalised packages of care.* You will undertake direct work with adults and their families in line with care plans.* You will work co-operatively with both internal and external colleagues across multi - agency boundaries.Essential requirements:* Social Work England registration* Eligible to work in the UK* 2 years+ post-qualified experience* Degree level or equivalent in Social WorkBenefits of working with Remedy
