New Appointments Group are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company in Thanet in the recruitment of a Health and Safety Advisor.The main purpose of this position is to provide expert advice, support and assistance on all Health and Safety matters within the business. This will involve monitoring, maintaining and where possible improving Health and Safety key performance indicators. Ensuring continued compliance to regulations and developing the companies Health and Safety strategy.Audits, safety inspections and management of any process changes will be a key part of ensuring improvements and delivering against strategy. You will also need to have a strong focus on developing the Health and Safety Hazard and Risk Assessment systems and documentation processes.A minimum of a NEBOSH National general certificate is required along with experience working in a Health and Safety remit within a COMAH based manufacturing site. A strong knowledge of DSEAR and COSHH would also be beneficial.Ideally you will be able to demonstrate experience working with Local Authority, Certification bodies and Consultants and be familiar with OHSAS 18001 and ISO45001 systems/standards.New Appointments Group, Expertly Matching Employers and Jobseekers since 1975.
