We are looking for great people to join us, so please come and invest in YOUR future at HL.About the roleThis is an exciting new opportunity for a Vulnerable Client Specialist to join Hargreaves Lansdowns (HLs) Client and Product Outcomes team. This team focuses on delivering HLs product governance, investment oversight, regulatory advice, and client communications.As Vulnerable Client Specialist, you will support stakeholders across a FTSE 100 business to ensure they understand regulatory requirements and meet HL expectations in relation to delivering good outcomes to vulnerable clients. A key part of the role willalso include supporting the Vulnerable Client Manager in the oversight of the implementation, embedding, and adherence to the HL Vulnerable Client framework and policies.Salary range: £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experienceWhat youll be doingYour responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Vulnerable Client Manager to implement and embed HLs Vulnerable Client Framework
  • Providing specialist understanding of HLs regulatory requirements in relation to vulnerable clients and supporting the Vulnerable Clients Manager to ensure frameworks, policies, and procedure are aligned with these expectations
  • Supporting the Client Services team and Helpdesk Escalation team to answer queries and ensure that HL handles individual vulnerable client cases in a manner aligned with regulatory expectations and good client outcomes
  • Acting as a point of contact for vulnerable client queries from colleagues across the business, including service areas and product teams
  • Working with the Vulnerable Client Manager to develop management information (MI) and insight on the delivery of good outcomes to vulnerable clients
  • Conducting regular and proactive engagement with third party experts for guidance and insight on vulnerable client needs
About youYou will be driven to support the delivery of change that helps support our clients in vulnerable situations. Youll understand the importance of treating all clients as individuals and with empathy. You will be passionate about supporting clients that haveadditional needs and ensuring we deliver great outcomes that meet these needs.Ideally, we are looking for experience in the following areas:
  • Understanding of financial markets
  • Awareness and working knowledge of vulnerable client regulations
  • Passion to help and support people with additional needs
  • Experience in a client-focused organisation
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience in problem solving and handling difficult client situations would be useful
This role will suit someone that has worked previously in a client-focused financial services role and is ready to step up to support and deliver change that makes a real difference to our vulnerable clients.Equally, you may have never worked in financial services but have a background in supporting people in vulnerable situations. We would be interested in discussing your relevant experience and how you would apply it in this role.Interview processThis will be a one stage interview that will involve a competency-based interview.Working ScheduleThis is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
