Job Description

EXEPERIENCED VAN DRIVER (CUSTOMER FOCUSED) / TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY / BS32 gap personnel (operating as an employment business) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3.5t van driver to join a national equipment hire company at their Bristol hub.The company play an important part in the health and safety industry providing equipment hire throughout the UK. Being at the forefront of the business, it is essential that you are customer focused, well presented and understand that the customer comes first. Brand recognition is key to the business and how it is delivered. Whilst this is a multi-drop position, you will have no more than 15 drops per day, although this will be spread across a larger geographical area.Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Unloading and loading of parts and products at agreed locations
  • Ensuring all deliveries are accurate and meet the customers’ requirements
  • Collect hire products from customers and return to main depot
  • Identifying and reporting product defects
  • Palletising customer deliveries and placed as allocated at depot
    • The ideal candidate:
  • Good geographical knowledge of Bristol, Devon, Somerset and South Wales (M4 & M5 corridors)
  • Be well spoken, well presented, have excellent customer service skills
  • Meticulous to detail and assist customers as / when required
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and recorded at the start and end of shift
  • Have 5 years’ experience within a customer facing delivery job
  • Ensure all COVID safety precautions are completed at each drop
    • You will be provided with a brand new Sprinter van and fuel cardWorking hours are on a weekly rotational basis:
  • Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5pm (42.5 hours per week)
    • This role is a temp to perm contract with your first 12 weeks placement through gap personnel with a permanent contract offered after this period is completed.
