Job Description

    • The Role:
  • We are looking for a Transport Manager to take responsibility for the safe transport operations of a very busy chemical distribution depot.
  • With 15 reports, including a Transport Planner and Drivers you will be looking for efficiency gains, improved workflow and the reduction of waste and third party haulage.
  • Full responsibility for the management and monitoring of tachographs / driver hours, regular vehicle checks / inspections / services and the use of a tracker system to maximise fleet efficiency.
  • Ultimately the goal is to ensure the depot operates within the stated company quality assurance procedures and achieves customer service targets.
    • The Ideal Person:
  • To apply for this positon, you will have a CPC for Transport Managers.
  • ADR, IOSH and / or COSHH qualifications are also desirable but not essential.
  • In order to step into this role within a very fast paced chemical distribution environment some experience with the chemical, oil, gas or wider process environments is absolutely essential.
  • Enthusiasm is key, as is being comfortable working within a fast paced environment with multiple product lines.
