Job Description

Technical Support Engineer / 1st Line / Helpdesk / Service Desk / Desktop / 2nd Line Support Engineer required for my client based in Bristol for a permanent role, salary £24-25k + bonus + benefits.THIS ROLE IS REMOTE FOR THE FORSEEABLEYou will be working on a rotating shift basis - either 8:30am - 4:45pm / 9am - 5:15pm / 10:15am - 6:30pmMy client, situated in the heart of Bristol are seeking a flexible Support Engineer to provide comprehensive 1st / 2nd Line support to a large user base.The organisation has 3 other offices in the UK located in large cities, which you will be required to visit occasionally (approximately 1 visit to each site every 2 months) to provide on site Desktop Support.Whilst working in the Bristol office, you will provide 1st / 2nd Line support within a small but busy team.You will be working to SLAs, and will be expected to work quickly and efficiently in a corporate environment.Key skills required:

  • Strong 1st / 2nd Line Support experience - able to hit the ground running
  • Office 10 / 13
  • Active Directory
  • Desktop / Laptop configuration / installation
  • PC Imaging (SCCM ideal)
  • Desirable skills:
  • MDM / EMM Solutions
  • Mobile device support - Blackberry / iPhone / Android
  • Bespoke Application Support
  • Server 08 / 12
  • Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop
  • RDS
  • Networking - Switches / Routers / Firewalls / VPN / Wireless
  • ITIL environment experience
