Technical Manager Bristol Up to £42,000 pro rata DOE 3 days a weekWe are currently looking for an ambitious and confident person to join a rapidly expanding food manufacturer in the Bristol area. Working with the senior management team you would be responsible for quality systems and technical matters on site. This role isPT and would involve working a 3 day weekQuality Systems Manager/ Technical Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities Develop and ensure that quality systems operate efficiently in order to satisfy customers and provide due diligence Take full responsibility for the generation of Quality/Food Safety documentation and control systems whilst maintaining change justification, version and date control Ensure that Food Safety and Quality procedures are efficient, effective and maintained Ensure that products meet all quality criteria, i.e., specification, traceability, labelling, visual presentation, weight and food safety Take ownership of FSSC22000 auditing procedures, documentation and actions arising Participate in internal auditing in line with FSSC22000, Customer specified requirements and GMP standards. Review and maintain the site HACCP program as team leader Complete customer/third party originated self-assessment questionnaires (SAQ) or information requests in varying formats Complete, follow up and close out supplier non-conformances as required. Investigate and resolve customer complaints Track trends on quality performance, customer complaints, defects and non-conformances and take corrective actions Actively participate in the management and completion of traceability challenges, mass balances and product reviews Implement and maintain all specifications for raw materials and final product Increasing the Technical standards by which the Company operates and supporting the manufacturing standards and seeking to raise them continuously Make the production parameters visual, simple and controllable Initial investigation into issues of poor quality/Operator Mistakes and work with Factory Manager to implement corrective actions Ensure excellent standards of housekeeping and hygiene are continuously maintained Liaise with regulatory authorities as required Liaise with customer and supplier technical representatives and take the lead during site audits Assist with NPD requirements, artwork proofing, shelf-life determination and HACCP risk assessments as well as providing Technical input into product trials and new launches Quality Systems Manager / Technical Supervisor Skills required: Technical experience in food processing or Packing Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3 Trained Minimum 3 years experience of working in a similar environmentKey words QA Manager, QS manager, technical supervisor, Technical Team Lead, Tech manager
