Location – Bristol (1-2 days in the office a month)Role –Technical LeadTech – PHP, Node.js, Python, Yii, AWS, Geospatial, GISSalary - £75,000 to £85,000The drone industry is set to be worth over £90billion by 2030, growing year on year by 20%!This is why this company in Bristol are so promising – a newly fledged startup who are supplying a unique platform into this industry, they’ve recently signed a 5 year contract with one of the biggest users of drones in the world – and now they need a Technical Lead.Previously they’ve outsourced development, but they are now building an inhouse development team and this is a unique opportunity to be the first technical hire in the business, where you can go on to shape the department along with the founders. They are looking for a Technical Lead who’s willing to get stuck into project & product management, and who wants to grow into a leadership role under the mentorship of the founders.Their platform is currently built in PHP (Yii framework) but they are ideally looking to move towards a full microservices stack based around Node.js and Python – however this is something they’d like you to have an input in so this technology choice may change. They are looking for a Technical Lead who has experience with either PHP or Node.js, AWS and willingness to learn Geospatial/GIS web mapping technologies (open source, postgis, geoserver etc)The salary for this Technical Lead role will vary depending on your experience of course,in the range of £70,000 to £85,000.The founders are Bristol based, so would like to meet up with you 1-2 times a month, but apart from that it can be fully remote.Interviews are happening now, so please call me, Reuben Jenkins, on or drop me an email – reuben.jenkins @
