In this role you will provide support, recognition, guidance and professional oversight to team members within your practice area.This vacancyis for a newly created Team Manager, Access (Front Door Assessment) within the side of the service managing the initial referrals into the council.What will you be doing You will have a fantastic opportunity to succeed in unprecedented circumstances - helpingto guide your team forward in 2021 and beyond. First and foremost, as a supportive manager you will be able to get the best from your team members whilst ensuring they are fully supported and know how valued theyare. Ensuring a focus on the individual and assisting in personal and professional development through the several available pathways and programmes offered by our Childrens Services. These are peculiar times and there has been a shift in how we manage people,combining predominantly remote working with face-to-face management (where essential and secure) - you will be an adaptive and responsive manager to meet team and wider service objectives. What we need from you You will have relevant professional qualificationand experience in a relevant setting, ideally with some experience or knowledge of an Access and/or MASH environment. You will be able to evidence your ability to lead teams to achieve optimum performance in delivering excellent social care services for children.You will have evidence of on-going continuous professional development and a thorough knowledge of current legislation and practice relating to children and young peoples services.How a career at South Gloucestershire Council is different We invest in thecareers of our people and we are recognised for the quality, breadth and depth of our training and development offer, which helps our people make the greatest long-term difference in their work.
