Street Cleansing Manager Salary: circa £55,000 per annumFull Time: 40 hours per weekBased at Hartcliffe DepotCan you help Bristol Waste nothingDo you want to work for a growing company based in Bristol Are you looking for a full-time permanent job in a friendly and local company, where you will be a valued member of the teamIf this sounds like a role that you’d enjoy then we’d love to hear from you!THE ROLEWorking closely with the Operations Directorate, the post holder will lead the Street Cleansing service area and undertake operational programmes, projects and assignments as allocated. Responsible for an allocated area, you will monitor the operation of the service, ensuring compliance with all legislation, regulations, and financial and budgetary parameters. You will ensure that operations meet service goals and contractual key measures in line with customer expectations.The role requires the post holder to challenge existing practices in order to improve overall customer service whilst seeking value for money and long-term economic benefits to the business.Duties will include driving a culture of continuous improvements through a motivated workforce that reflect the vision and values of the company. As well as delivering a great customer experience, including monitoring customer feedback and ensuring queries are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. Proven broad experience in delivering municipal waste services and achieving key results is also essential. Additionally, the post holder must have experience in managing complex employee relations, experience working with trade unions and experience of delivering change programmes.To be successful you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated empathy and emotional intelligence, excellent literacy and analytical skills. As well as the ability to work under pressure and to make decisions to tight deadlines.The post holder must have project management capability, a robust understanding of finance and budgeting, good knowledge of existing and impending environmental and health and safety legislation. Alongside this, waste industry knowledge including relevant legislation is vital.
