Specification Sales Manager - Flat Roofing SystemsJob Title: Technical Sales Manager - Flat Roofing SystemsIndustry Sector: Flat Roofing, Flat Roofing Systems, Single Ply Roofing, Liquid Applied Waterproofing, Waterproofing, Waterproofing Membranes, Roof Coatings, Green Roofs, Refurbishment Projects, Refurbishment, Car Parks, Building Surveyors, Surveyors, Surveys, Local Authorities, Consultants, Architects, Specifiers, Waterproofing Contractors, Waterproofing Sub- Contractors, Main ContractorsArea to be covered: South WestRemuneration: £50,000 - £55,000neg (depending on exp) + 20% bonusBenefits: £500 car allowance & comprehensive benefits packagesThe role of the Technical Sales Manager - Flat Roofing Systems will involve:

  • Technical field sales position selling a range of flat roofing systems for application such as roofs, walkways, balconies, car parks, roads and infrastructure
  • Working on both new build and refurbishment projects
  • Project sectors include: commercial, education, healthcare, retail
  • Majority of your time will be spent gaining specifications with predominantly architects, surveyors, local authorities, consultants, health authorities and other major specifiers
  • The remaining portion of your time will be spent following projects through to completion with specialist quality waterproofing & roofing sub-contractors, main contractors and installers
  • Will have an internal sales support team to help manage specifications through the merchant and contractors channels
  • Provide technical support and advice on site
  • Assisting the technical service team
  • Project values can range from £20k-£70k
  • Inheriting a territory currently turning over circa £1.2-£1.5m
    • The ideal applicant will be an Technical Sales Manager - Flat Roofing Systems with:
  • Must have experience in flat roofing systems
  • Must have some technical specification experience with architects, building surveyors, consultants and specifiers
  • Must have experience working on new build and refurbishment projects
  • Ideally have construction site experience
  • Ability to hunt for new projects whilst also building and retaining relationships along the way
  • Ability to sell a technical solution rather than on price (must be able to up-sell)
