Silicon Design EngineerFull time, BristolThe roleBased in our Bristol office, the Silicon Design Engineer works in the Chip Development team and plays a pivotal role in developing semiconductor products. Your responsibilities include:*Working with the Chip team through the entire lifecycle of chip development*Developing blocks and features for our clients microchips*Focusing on digital design of complex processor-based chips*Collaborating with the Verification team to ensure that chips are functionally correct*Collaborating with the Physical team to ensure that chips can be physically implemented, and can meet key requirements for power, performance and areaWho were looking forYoure a digital semiconductor design professional with a good understanding of modern SoCs and microprocessor technology. A clear and organized thinker, you are experienced and comfortable in specifying and designing digital circuits. Proactive, and equally comfortable working as part of a team or independently, youll enjoy solving day-to-day problems and delivering high quality robust designs.You will have a proven track record in the design of complex digital ICs, with demonstrable skills in digital ASIC Hardware Design, from specification to RTL, and including support for Functional Verification and chip-level integration.Youll have:*Excellent RTL design skills (preferably Verilog)*Clear ability to take designs through all stages of the lifecycle*Good working knowledge of digital simulation tools and techniques*A strong orientation towards microprocessor technologies*Experience in the Integration of 3rd party IP such as PLL, POR, PHY, SRAM, OTP, USB, MIPI*A proven ability in scripting and flow automation methods*Good working knowledge of version and change control management*An awareness of design impact on timing, area & power*Working knowledge of Synthesis, and analysis of results* Experience of Functional Verification including:*Specification and test plan support for directed and random test*Support for code and functional coverage closureThe benefits*Competitive Salary.*Share Options - EMI approved share options allocated at a level commensurate to seniority.
