Job Description

Senior UX/UI DesignerThe RoleAs our Senior UX/UI Designer, you will play a key role in our UX and wider digital team. You will be assisting, planning and leading the delivery of best in class UX insight and visual design solutions to enhance existing work and innovate future projects. We are looking for someone who has experience as a mid-weight designer and is looking for their next step, or a senior UX`er looking for a move with fresh challenges.Founded in 1991, Unite Students is a FTSE 250 business and the UK`s leading provider of purpose-built student accommodation.   • Leading on UX design projects
  • Researching, ideating and creating concepts for UX solutions while working closely with Business Analysts and product owners
  • Translating concepts into wireframes, mock-ups, designs and prototypes
  • Designing and evolving front end design across websites and mobile apps
  • Planning, managing and presenting research and user-testing
  • Generating user stories, user journeys and flow diagrams

  • A portfolio demonstrating high calibre and high quality digital design work
  • A good understanding of UX design best practices and processes
  • Proficiency in mobile-first and responsive design
  • Good knowledge of software such as; Adobe XD / Sketch, Proto.io, Proto.pie, Balsamiq, Optimal sort, Usertesting.com or similar
  • Excellent communication skills; you`ll be able to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions with your team and product owners
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills
