Were very family friendly as a company.Summary of Data Science Recruitment:Were embarking on the next big recruitment drive to find at least 15 dedicated data scientists! We have successfully grown our data science capability over the last 4 years and are now growing to take on more projects! Were looking for a range of people,mostly full time roles with some part time, and condensed hours.What exactly does a Data Scientist do at LloydsWorking in multidisciplinary team, youll often start by looking at a business problem statement and then start experimenting with different modelling approaches to developing industrialised applications powered by Machine Learning.Common tasks youll focus on could include;

• Contributing towards potential solutions to a range of business problems using Data Science.
• Developing experimental models and machine learning applications in Python alongside our ML Data Engineers (who build the data pipelines and ensure quality).
• Deliver production Machine Learning models across the full reach of the bank - from predicting savings balances to identifying which of our customers may fall into financial difficulty and need a helping hand
• Complex statistical analysis

Your models will have a material impact on the lives of up to 30m+ customers across the whole of the UK, we really are trying to make a difference and support our country.Where does the role sitWere the Chief Data & Analytics Office within Lloyds Banking Group!We support all areas of the bank so products you work on could apply to any area of financial services and weve got one of the largest data sets available in FS for you to work with.We take ideas from the concept stage and work with our customers to understand how data science and machine learning can be applied. Youll work on a wide range of exciting projects with no shortage of work!What do we need to see from your applicationWere keen to see diverse and varied applications, however as these are senior data scientist positions well need to see the following as a minimum to be considered for interview;

• Experience working as a mid to senior level data scientist in a commercial environment. Please do not apply if you dont have industry experience over a number of years for this level of role.
• A strong commercially applied knowledge of Statistical Modelling and/or Machine Learning techniques is required such as: regression, clustering, attribution (econometrics / MMM), decision trees and gradient boosting machines (random forest, XGBoost,LGBM) and significance testing.
• An intermediate to highlevel of skill programming using Python is required including how to write modular Pythonic code, familiarity with the core Python data structures and fluency with pandas, Sykit Learn, MatPlot Lab.
• Intermediate level of skill using SQL.
• The ability to present the takeaways from these techniques in a clear, visual manner to support senior business partners decision making is key to the success of our projects
