Looking for a Senior Backend Developer role where you can own an important project, mentor and grow a teamCome join this fast growing mature startup in Bristol, who have excellent VC links and a growth trajectory to rival the biggest names in the city.The key to their future success is underpinned by their Tech and Product evolution, which paves the way for this high impact role to shape and lead the front end of their digital products.As a Senior Backend Developer here you’ll be working on a variety of digital products – your main task though will be acting as the Lead Developer on their brand new inhouse booking system.Youll be a partner to their Product Manager, planning the roadmap and sprints, building production ready code and mentoring juniors - what an opportunity!They work with Elixir, Ruby (+Rails), Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Heroku, CircleCI and React/Typescript.They are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer who has:- >5 years professional programming- Experience of leading a team of Developers OR the drive to upskill in this area- Building REST services and APIs (Not necessarily in Ruby)- Understanding web performance analysis and optimisation- Working within a product-driven team following agile and scrum methodologies(Bonus Points for understanding of functional programming and front end experience!)The salary for the Senior Backend Developer role is between £50,000 to £60,000 - theyre open to people with leadership experience or people who are looking for that first step up.
