Job Description

A Security Cleared Security Assurance Coordinator with relevant information assurance experience and qualifications is required for a 12 month contract within a large Government organisation.The role is offering a rate of £500 to £550 per day.Due to the nature of the organisation, it is essential that you hold current and valid Security Clearance.Responsible for:

  • Conducting a lead security role in a complex IT environment that involves multiple tasks to improve the client risk position
  • Establishing a detailed understanding of client security architectures to enable the production of consistent IA advice.
  • Conducting in-depth risk assessments using client processes that address challenging operational requirements involving complex IA scenarios.
  • Conducting compliance activity on service and systems to assess levels of security control and identify control gaps.
  • Identifying areas of IA weakness and producing detailed remediation plans in accordance with client risk appetite.
  • Assisting with the production of client policies and procedures to meet UK Government requirements.
  • Building successful working relationships with key customers and stakeholders that improve the value of the IA Service.
    • Essential Skills/ Requirements:
  • Valid and current Security Clearance is essential
  • Broad and expert knowledge of security controls and systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing risk assessment in a UK Government environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing security consultancy and technical IA solutions in a UK Government environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting compliance audits against standards,eg:IS027001.
  • Familiarity of HMG Security Policy Framework, Information Assurance Standards and good practice, particularly IAS1 and 2.
  • Relevant professional qualifications, eg: CISSP, ITPC, CISM, SSCP
  • CCP membership desirable or applied for.
