Job Description

Risk Manager - Operational ResilienceBristolUp to £58,000A high street bank is looking for an Operational Risk Manager for a new role in the business. IN response to new regulatory requirements, the bank is investing in a 2nd Line Operational Risk Manager to assess, validate, review and challenge Risk Controls pertaining to Operational Resilience and Business Continuity.THE ROLE

  • Influence the Operational Resilience Programme to ensure the bank is not only compliant with future Operational Resilience requirements, but is adequately considering and preparing for customer and organisational impacts from potential disruption events
  • Be accountable for identifying, challenging, escalating, and reporting risks within your area of responsibility, as well as supporting risk management activities such as scenario analysis
  • Liaise with the 1LOD to propose risk appetite and impact tolerances
  • Monitor and challenge Key Risk and Resilience Indicators
  • Advise the 1LOD on the development of Operational Resilience risk management, including business continuity planning
  • Review remedial actions resulting from operational disruptions and the effectiveness of incident management processes
    • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Track record of either implementing or assessing organisational implementation of Operational Resilience/Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery processes, preferably within a financial services organisation, but this is not essential, experience can come from 1st ,2nd or 3rd lines of Defence;
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal to clearly articulate issues to senior management.
  • You are likely to possess an industry recognised qualification such as CBCP, CBCI, EDRP or ISO22301.
