Job Description

Repairs Manager- Social Housing - Portishead£35,000 - £37,000 + BenefitsOur client is an innovative award-winning main contractor specialising in refurbishment and regeneration of social housing. Due to their continued success delivering long term contracts and to a resturtuctre in their Customer Repairs Planning Department they are looking to hire passionate people to provide an exceptional customer journey.Key Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will be required to

  • Work with the planning, business performance and Commercial teams and call centre to maximise resources using appropriate performance management data and scheduling tools.
  • To ensure maximum value for money through careful management of resources being allocated to jobs including checking costs of jobs against expected values.
  • Diagnose building/property related faults and raise jobs to complete the necessary works working to timescales agreed with customers
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers in respect of a wide range of property matters, including technical surveying and reporting on areas such as structural defects, condensation, damp, ventilation, sound, fire safety etc.
  • Work with the surveying and asset data teams to advise on future maintenance programmes
  • Maintain a focus on customer standards in respect of home condition and quality as reported by the customers
  • Contribute to the development of a continuous service improvement plan with a focus on providing a great customer experience with a focus on right first time.
  • Carry out post work quality inspections on an agreed sample of jobs within agreed timescales, raising any quality issues with the relevant Supervisor.
  • Be accountable and take ownership of resolving customer complaints through to successful and timely conclusion.
