Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with aprivately owned Nursing home,situated in a highly sought-after residential area within walking distance of the town centres of the picturesque Cotswold Market town of Chipping Sodbury, and Yate.We are looking for Registered General Nurses to join our dedicated team.The RoleWorking as an integral part of the caring team, this role provides supervision and support to the caring team, acting as a resource for them.A large part of the role involves close communication and interpersonal skills with external professionals, residents, and relatives.You will be responsible for caring for residents, dispensing medicine, delegating tasks to staff, and supporting the management team with other duties as needed. All activities within the home will be conducted according to the professional conduct guidelinesof the Nursing and Midwifery Council.Contribute to and assist the management of the nursing services within the Home by ensuring high standards of nursing care are maintained.Day and night shifts are available, including weekends & bank holidays, at £18 per hour with an enhancement for night shifts.Responsibilities

  • Order and safe administration of medication.
  • Liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team - GP/SALT/Physio including FNC & CHC reviews with the council as well as liaising with PHE.
  • Monitor staff during the shift.
  • Ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Liaise with families.
  • Care plans and associated paperwork.
  • Carry out supervision for staff.
  • In charge of all aspects of the home in the absence of the manager/deputy manager.
  • Ensure adequate staffing-organising workload during staff shortages, liaising with agencies as well as staff.
  • Complete daily checklist.
  • Cross-check monthly KPI/ECP.
  • Help formulate policies as and where required i.e., visiting policy.
  • Be the first point of contact for all staff and have the authority to act upon a decision.
  • Make sure staff understand the meaning of MCA/Safeguarding.
  • Attend all training and meetings.
