Quality Inspector (CMM / Contour Tracing)Bristol£Negotiable + 25 days holiday + Training + pensionAre you an experienced Quality Inspector from an engineering background looking to join a Tier 1 component supplier for engineer components and airframe OEMs supplying some of the most prestigious names in the market such as Rolls RoyceAre you from a Quality background looking to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business with over 80 years history and that can provide training and development, particularly around CMM.On offer is an opportunity to work for an Engineering business supplying into the exciting and fast-growing aerospace industry who use state-of-the-art machine equipment to supply the most demanding OEM clients.The Quality Inspector provides a vital role to understand and interpret engineering drawings and measure products to these to determine conformity or non-conformity to ensure and assure continued compliance to our customers and industry requirements.We have embarked on a journey to revolutionise how we manage Quality and wish to find a strong Quality Inspector to help us continue the journey, providing impetus and ambition in implementing new, more efficient and effective ways to ensure our continuedcompliance and improvement.This is an exciting position demanding an enterprising person that can work in an ordered and methodical manner whilst also being able to excite others on the improvement path.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure no product non-conformity escapes to customers
  • Accurate and appropriate measurement of product features to determine conformance/non-conformance to drawing/model
  • Improvement of the inspection processes to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
  • Adheres to the requirements of the company Health & Safety Policies & Management System
  • Conducting inspection processes to meet Customer & internal requirements
  • Conducting measurements of products/ tooling and fixtures as required
  • Reporting measurement outputs included for FAIR and improvement activities
  • Calibration of measurement devices traceable to national standards
  • Responsible for general housekeeping within their area
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience in reading Engineering drawings
  • Experience with Contour tracers/Profile tracers
