We produce safe, quality products that help feed millions every day.Wherever you are, we can work together to create inspiring solutions that nourish life.About the roleHere at Kerry, were currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Quality Assurance Technologist. You will be working with our wonderful team in the quality assurance department of our food manufacturing plant in Portbury, Bristol. The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate previous experience within a factory / manufacturing setting. alongside being able to demonstrate education to a degree level, as a minimum.Key responsibilities

  • Hygiene Lead including cleaning validations
  • Quality systems & hygiene auditing
  • Approval and disposition of out-of-specification material
  • Providing training for site on food safety, quality and hygiene
  • Microbiology-related technical support
  • Root cause analysis & resolving non-conformances
  • Coordinating site change control & validation programmes.
  • Maintaining the key quality standards on site
Qualifications and skills
  • Degree qualified, at minimum, in Food science, Microbiology or equivalent.
  • Practical experience within a Q.A. role in a food or Biopharmaceutical manufacturing site
  • Needs to be results orientated with good planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience of coordinating HACCP / pre-requisite systems & principles
  • Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems
  • Ability to work with SAP QM and advantage.
Skills
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills can work on own initiative & also as part of a team
  • Proactive attitude is essential
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Good computer skills including MS Excel, Word, & Access
