Job Description

Pivotal Construction Recruitment are partnering a successful Engineering company that are expanding due to future projects being secured for 2022An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Project Manager to join the Contracts team reporting directly to the Contracts Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various projects from start to finish across the UK as well as thedesign of HVAC&R systems. Projects are Primarily located along the M4/M5 corridor.Duties

  • Lead and oversee the installation teams personnel, visiting the job site as needed and maintaining constant communication with the site operatives
  • Follow the in-house ISO9001 scheme to manage and maintain project documentation
  • In charge of all aspects of contractual and commercial issues in relation to projects
  • Development of HVAC&R systems both independently and with the assistance of the in-house design team
  • Respond to tenders and information requests
  • Prepare and submit HVAC&R system quotations
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and clients to design and select appropriate equipment and materials to satisfy the needs of customers
  • Analyse and review tenders ahead of contract start
  • Contract cost control
  • Manage client relations and demonstrate understanding of all HVAC disciplines
  • Overall management of multiple projects from initial enquiry through to handover
  • Plan and clearly describe the scope of work, project activities, and schedule that are required
Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Experience in HVAC&R project management
  • The ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise work and deal with opposing demands
  • Able to solve problems in a hands-on manner and a proven ability to come up
  • with new ideas and solutions.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including written, oral, e-mail, and telephone
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • A positive attitude.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Self-motivated, but also able to work in and lead a group.
  • Health & Safety knowledge and environmental awareness
  • HVACR design.
  • Process driven.
  • IT skills, Microsoft project, including excel, word and handheld mobile
