Job Description

Our client is looking for a Progress Chaser to join their busy Bristol team!Salary: 20,500 – 22,500 per annumProgress Chaser Duties:Day to Day order management:

  • Schedule the supply of materials/parts to meet departmental production requirements and minimum stock levels.
  • Understand monitor and maintain the movement of parts throughout the factory. Use the Epicor works order production schedule, to satisfy customer demand while levelling work to manufacturing.
  • Optimise inventory levels and resource utilisation to determine production priorities by the review of the master production schedule.
  • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production or the planned schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
  • Evaluate materials supply and demands. Prepare work orders for the production parts to support a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinate material movements between internal work and storage areas and/or outside processing or suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders and/or stock transfers to meet customer shipping dates and minimize inventory.
  • Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Analyse inventory usage, scrap, and shrinkage, recommending and implementing any appropriate actions to minimise loss, reduce inventory.
  • Carry daily perpetual Inventory checks, in Days Road.
    • Warehouse duties:
  • Receive goods from suppliers, book in, unpack and store in locations, pick, issue and deliver materials to the factory, complete
  • Process requisitions from the factory for consumable and back-flushed materials.
  • Monitor material stock levels to assure adequate stock levels.
  • Carry out Perpetual Inventory checks to maintain inventory of items in the warehouse,
  • Carry out assembly of inventory as required.
  • Carry out duties on Epicor system.
  • Operate and demonstrate use of specialised warehouse equipment Carousel as necessary.
  • Observe health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is always clean, safe and orderly condition.
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures.
  • Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring they are fully trained to perform the warehouse activities and identifying training requirements to the Warehouse Supervisor.

  • Good working knowledge of ERP works order production scheduling
  • Warehouse experience, ideally in a similar environment
  • Ability to read and interpret system information such as, system operating and quality instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new Epicor software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Team player
  • Good safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of manual handling

  • 1+ year of experience of their products.
  • Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift truck licence
  • Experience of using EPICOR (training given)
