Job Description

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Programme Lead - Residential Building Safety to join a local authority based in BristolThis will be a 4-6 Month interim position remotely working paying £500-700 P/day inside IR35 (experience dependant)

  • Shaping the approach to Building Safety, preparing for new regulatory requirements and leading on all aspects of safety across the portfolio.
  • Guardian of resident and building safety for Housing & Landlord services (landlord 28000+ homes), shaping the change needed.
  • Reporting into the Director of Housing with full accountability for the design, development, and effective communication of the Resident Building Safety Strategy.
  • Design the building and fire safety policies and processes required to take new legislation through the business as best practice and build a team, appoint, and partner with consultants as needed to develop property and risk methodologies and manage thisthrough to business as usual.
  • Be the subject matter expert on residential building safety and the critical link between the Mayor, The Housing Management Board, Councillors, Directors, staff and internal/external stakeholders, providing assurances on the safety of our residents andbuildings.
Person Specification:
  • An excellent influencer and facilitator, giving clear direction, identify gaps in process, and creating and roll out effective solutions.
  • A strong understanding of risk management within buildings (including fire safety) at a Senior level, within a similarly complex and regulated environment.
  • Educated to degree level or hold a relevant equivalent membership (RICS, RIBA, MCIOB, IOSH)
  • Proven track record of leadership in a senior role
  • Ability to plan and deliver complex programmes
