Professional Services Manager- Accounting SoftwareBristol based role. Salary up to £60K base, plus car allowance and comprehensive benefits.My client is a leading Accounting Software provider with the market’s most powerful financial management solution. They are experiencing excellent growth and have a very exciting future ahead of them, so now is a great time to join.This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced accountant looking for a new challenge outside of just being an accountant’, including managing an exceptional consulting team as they continue to expand within the mid-market, both locally and nationally and enjoy extensive customer-facing work across consulting and project management. As a member of the management team, the Professional Services Manager- Accounting Software will be a strong manager with proven experience of leading teams and will be instrumental in maintaining an excellent office culture. In addition, the right candidate will have previously worked in a project manager role and have extensive experience of managing projects successfully.Main responsibilities for the Professional Services Manager- Accounting Software

  • Managing a team of consultants, including: Reviewing weekly wellbeing questionnaires, holding regular 121 meetings, in addition to quarterly reviews and annual reviews, managing holiday allocations, approving timesheets and expenses, providing ad hoc support as and when required
  • Attending monthly Management Team meetings
  • Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the finance product
  • Managing the implementations for new customers
  • Ensuring implementations follow best practice, helping customers streamline their business processes
  • Implementation project management
  • Driving implementation projects to deliver measurable business benefits as identified in the pre-sales process
  • Managing third party relationships
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and within scope
  • Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, submitting weekly timesheets and wellbeing questionnaires
  • Running implementation workshops
  • Input into development priorities, in particular relation to UK-specific accounting requirements
  • Assistance with presales support
  • Essential qualifications and experience
  • Project management
  • Experience of managing and leading a team
  • Fully qualified or part qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA)
  • Experience of implementing ERP systems such as Unit4/Agresso, Microsoft, SAP, Sage 200, Netsuite and Oracle, whether as an external consultant or from the customer side
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following business areas: management and financial accounting, project management, project accounting, project billing, multi-currency reporting, multi-company accounting and consolidation, purchasing, stock accounting and ordering
  • Strong IT technical skills and understanding
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own car
  • Office based in Bristol
