With 30 years of success, weve earned an enviable reputation for the quality and endurance of our products.We are now looking for a Production Manager to join our team in Bristol.The Benefits- Salary of up to £60,000 per annum DOE- Pension scheme- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (rising to 25 with service)This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional with a strong engineering background to take the lead within the manufacturing operation of a well-regarded business.Youll have the chance to drive the organisation forward through your expertise, allowing the continuing growth of the company.Whats more, youll be joining a business where collaboration and innovation are encouraged, and you will discover an organisation that will wholeheartedly support your career progression.The RoleAs a Production Manager, you will lead the manufacturing function of the organisation within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards.Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for plant production including foundry, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining theproductive operation of planned activities, ensuring all safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.You will contribute to the strategy of the business and implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles, whilst being responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team.Additionally, you will:- Be responsible for updating the daily production plan- Identify and drive business improvement opportunities- Ensure the function operates in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies- Develop, implement and manage KPIs- Manage contractors onsiteAbout YouTo join us as a Production Manager, you will need:- Proven man management and leadership experience- An understanding of Kaizen, lean manufacturing, six sigma- An understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain- An understanding of IOSH/NEBOSH, ISO 9001/14001- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office- ERP systems experienceA relevant manufacturing and/or engineering degree would be preferable for this role, or an HND, BTec Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications.Other organisations may call this role Production Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Operations Manager, Manufacturing Shift Manager, or Production Supervisor.Webrecruit and Apex Pumps are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
