The candidate must have some experience in the recycling industry along with a proven track record in procurement and commercial contract negotiation. A high level of attention to detail is required along with the ability to build and maintain commercial relationships.Reporting to the Head of Operations, the purpose of this role is to work with our internal teams to forecast demand, then work with external suppliers to build security of supply at the right commercial terms. The role will require the development of new relationships and initiatives, to build our network of quality suppliers. The role will also involve the management of a small team who ensure data accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.Responsibilities:- Responsible for delivery of annual Procurement Plan related to WEEE and Batteries evidence.- Accountable for procuring the required amount of evidence across batteries and WEEE to agreed profit targets.- Responsible for management of batteries and WEEE collection team (2 people).- Work with the Technical team, along with the whole company to deliver member compliance.- Accountable for negotiating commercial terms and building long term relationships with suppliers of WEEE and batteries evidence.- Accountable for compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and best practice.- Accountable for growing WEEE and batteries collection, establishing new opportunities and innovating new ways to secure evidence.- Accountable for providing accurate and timely commercial reports.- Accountable for supplier audits and ensuring supplier compliance with our supplier code of conduct.- Oversee recording and registering evidence data.- Provide expert technical advice and support to the company.About you:- Ability to build strong, commercial relationships with key suppliers.- Experience of procurement and buying methodologies.- Knowledge of the UK recycling industry essential.- Experience of environmental compliance markets, desirable but not essential.- Proven ability to manage and analyse data, mainly using Excel.- Strong organisation, IT and administrative skills.- Ability to develop and comply with the systems, procedures, rules, objectives and timescales set by the organisation and take a disciplined approach when undertaking tasks.- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing information.Ecosurety is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all.Please note, Ecosurety reserves the right to bring forward the closing date of any of its job vacancies if we receive a suitable number of high quality applications from which to make a shortlist.
