Principal Supportability EngineerSF29371Stoke Gifford, Bristol£49,640 - £55,690 dependent on experienceAbout the RoleAre you looking for an exciting new challenge in a rapidly evolving and changing environment Are you inspired by a need for innovation Then why not consider joining Babcock on the latest acquisition programme to deliver the Royal Navy Type 31 Frigates by December 2028Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) is a foundation that underpins successful delivery of Complex Warships to the Royal Navy. We are looking for a Principal Supportability Engineer to join the team at Bristol Business Park and be responsible for ensuring a strict, coherent approach to all aspects of Supportability. This will include the day-to-day administration and co-ordination of activities directly related to contract deliverables, with particular focus on managing and maintaining Supportability and R&M cases, and the delivery of Supportability Modelling and associated Type 31 outputs.As the Principal Supportability Engineer, you will use your previous experience in the application of Supportability Analysis and Reliability and Maintainability techniques to draft the Use Study and to develop the Maintenance Philosophy for the DfS Lead. You will ensure coherence across Supportability and broader ILS activities (e.g. sparing analysis, LORA, technical documents development, RCM and maintenance analysis); take delivery of R&M and Supportability Cases and maintain them throughout the term; deliver availability modelling and maintenance burden modelling. In addition, you will deliver or contribute to the delivery of broader supportability deliverables, as defined in the T31 Design and Build contract and contribute to Supportability and Design Reviews, as required.As well as working for the UKs leading naval support business, we will also provide you with all the training, support and benefits that you would expect from a global company.What do I need to do the roleYou will be educated to HNC level in a relevant STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) and be a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartered status.
