Job Description

Play Manager

  • Location: Bristol, College Green BS10
  • Salary: Circa £30k FTE - Term time, 30 hours a week
  • Type: Term-time, 30 hours a week
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Bristol. Main Duties
  • To lead the development, delivery and management of a high quality play facility appropriate to the individual needs of children and their families
  • To ensure that the welfare of the children remains paramount and children are protected from risk of harm.
  • To be responsible for the ordering and purchasing of materials, equipment, food and drink - working within an agreed budget.
  • To develop and maintain effective administrative systems that meet all statutory requirements e.g. attendance registers, petty cash, registrations and bookings - incorporating use of new electronic booking system.
  • To develop and implement policies and procedures in conjunction with the management committee and ensure these are adhered to.
  • To be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety procedures alongside other legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a recognised and relevant level 3 qualification
  • 2 years relevant experience of working with children aged 4-12 years.
  • Experience of providing play opportunities for children in a play setting
  • Experience of developing and using administrative systems
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements, the EYFS and other quality indicators
  • Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a wide range of play and learning opportunities that meet individual childrens needs
  • Ability to be a reflective practitioner in order to develop your own and your teams practice.
  • Ability to support and develop an environment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity.
  • Able to pass a DBS check
