Job Description

I am currently look for a Payroll Assistant to work for a friendly firm in East BristolYou will receive a starting salary of £23-28k depending on experienceHours of work are flexible 37.5 hours a week Free parting on siteThis is a new full-time position for a payroll assistant with bookkeeping experience to join a medium-sized accounting practice, located on the east of Bristol. You will have a great opportunity to work with a variety of clients to deliver a comprehensive, professional and client focused service.Working closely with the payroll and accounts managers, you will split your time between payroll and accounts working with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for running weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll and CIS returns whilst assisting the accounts team mostly with the preparation of year end accounts and preparation of VAT returns.You will enjoy working here if you like variety in your work, as every day will be different. Above all, the directors here care about staff and are really dedicated to supporting everyone to continually improve and grow with them.Our client base continues to grow organically, and we are looking to incorporate new staff members to help manage this natural expansion. We feel that this is a great time to join our practice.Your responsibilities will include:· Running payrolls for over 150 clients· Preparation of monthly CIS returns· Liaising with clients, both face to face and over the phoneYou will ideally have a number of years of payroll experience, ideally in practice. You will have excellent payroll and CIS tax knowledge and exemplary client facing skills. You will be organised and thorough in your work and have a strong work ethic.
