Job Description

Job title: Part Time Finance ManagerPackage: £50k+ FTELocation: Bristol (Hybrid working available after probation period) Reporting to: MDJob type: Part Time Our ClientOur client is a successful, award-winning Bristol-based SME working in the construction industry who takes pride in their long-standing history and trusted reputation in their field.They are looking to recruit a self-motivated and experienced Finance Manager to strengthen their finance function and support their planned growth.Finance Manager- The RoleAs Finance Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the accounts are accurate and timely to enable confident reporting to internal and external stakeholders.Specifically, you will:

  • Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports;
  • Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow;
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, regulatory and industry standards;
  • Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them;
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to enable strategic decision-making;
  • Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts;
  • Manage CIS and VAT function and oversee payroll;
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function;
  • Provide information and support to internal teams and external stakeholder as required;
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects.
The Successful ApplicantYou will ideally be a qualified accountant who has worked in a similar role in an SME and can bring confidence and experience to support the company’s planned growth.Requirements include:
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA (QBE and AAT also considered);
  • Experience of preparing management accounts and a good understanding of accounting concepts (double entry/accruals/ prepayments etc);
  • CIS experience essential;
  • Sage 50 experience desirable;
  • Construction or scaffolding sector experience an advantage;
  • Good Excel skills;
  • A detailed and analytical mind with excellent attention to detail;
  • Good communicator and a strong team player;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
