Job Description

Vacancy: Painter Prepper (Nights)Location: Avonmouth, BristolRate and benefits: Up to £20.40 per hour, stakeholder pension plus other benefitsVacancy type and shifts: Permanent opportunity, 4 nights per week (Monday - Thursday), 44 hours per week, 12 hour shifts from 18:00 - 06:00Due to the opening of a brand new BCA fulfilment centre in Bristol in January 2021, we are looking to recruit a Painter Prepper to join us and help build this exciting opportunity.BCA delivers a diverse range of high-quality automotive services. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and product delivery, with large state of the art workshops and friendly experts trained to deliver to a variety of manufacturer standards.The role will assist in the daily production in order to achieve production figures, and produce high quality vehicles in line with customer standards.Role and Responsibilities:Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • To leave all repairs up to the Company standard ready for final quality control up to and including stripping / refitting, panel repair, masking, priming, painting and oven rectification
  • To carry out all repairs in line with approved methods and manufacturer standards to restore the vehicle to its original condition
  • To ascertain job requirements from the job card / estimate and record all time taken against the repair as well as ensure all documentation is completed
  • Plan and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved to deadline
  • To assist with general workshop loading as and when required
  • To notify your supervisor when previous damage is discovered that could affect the quality or cots of the repair
  • Ensure all employment, environmental, Health & Safety, PPE and other policies are strictly adhered to, operating within the law at all times
Technical skills:
  • Stripping, refitting, panel repair, masking, priming and oven rectification
  • Developing and maintaining professional and positive working relationships with colleagues
  • The ability to achieve high volume on demand to meet our KPIs
  • The ability to work to the high standards set by our customers
  • Excellent attention to detail
Experience required:
  • Experienced Paint Prepper
  • Experienced Paint Sprayer
