The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is one of four dedicated paediatric major trauma sites and specialist centre for paediatrics for the South West.You will gain in-depth knowledge of paediatric radiography in a range of disciplines supporting specialist areas such as spinal-surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac and specialist orthopaedics. You will be fully supported by a well-established in-house training programme as recognised in a recent departmental CQC review.The radiology department is equipped with state-of-the-art digital x-ray, fluoroscopy. Band 6 radiographers rotate through the paediatric CT unit, which is equipped with an Aquilion One Toshiba CT scanner. You will gain experience in paediatric cardiac CT and 4D CT.The paediatric radiography team is a young and dynamic team, and extensive training in paediatric radiography techniques will be provided.
