Job Description

Overview of Role:Support budget holder ensuring control of resources relating to P&L.Responsible for service quality, achieving site performance targets and warehouse capacity management.Plan and coordinate the timely completion of Business-as-usual operational activities utilising site Team Leaders/Supervisors; ensuring that correct levels of competent and trained manpower resource are available every day.Consistently achieve team productivity & performance targets and be responsible for reporting matters relating to behavioural/performance of the team to your line manager.Develop Team Leaders/Supervisors with a "can do attitude" in order to optimise all site operation to be highly productive with a clear focus on high quality standards.Proactively support Team Leaders/Supervisors in warehouse and site management covering Health & Safety, planned and ad hoc maintenance.Key Focus Areas:

  • Branch Management responsibility across all areas including day-to-day service delivery; the facility including warehouse, office space, and yard space; personnel.
  • Reporting to the Cluster Manager, you will work to deliver solutions to exceed client expectations
  • To deputise for the Cluster Manager in periods of absence and/or secondment as required.
  • To ensure service levels are maintained and developed in-line with demand
  • To ensure that the Operation consistently meets all operational KPI’s set by the business,
  • To ensure the smooth and efficient integration of new operations, systems and processes.
  • Responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment for everyone and be compliant with Health & Safety legislation across the regional branches ensuring the sites operates both legally and safely at all times.
  • To ensure all processes, procedures and audits comply with Crown RM and it’s ISO 9001: 2015 standards.
  • Ensure that the site complies with all other company standards (ISO9001: ISO14001: ISO18001: ISO27001) and any other future standards’ that the company requires to implement.
  • Key Responsibilities:Job Specific Competencies
  • Experienced in people management and strong customer focus whilst maintaining high quality standards.
  • H&S certificate /and or minimum 3 years’ experience of managing H&S successfully.
  • Is confident and able to build rapport and develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the company, with our clients and external contacts within the industry.
  • Be an effective leader who Is able to work and manage through others by setting clear targets, objectively measuring performance, providing regular feedback and coaching as required to develop a successful, can do’ culture.
  • Has a sound understanding of warehouse and transport management systems and can demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ideally O’Neil’s software.
  • Ability to write and interpret detailed reports and analysis.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the business at peak periods there will also be a requirement to undertake travel between CROWN RECORDS MANAGEMENT sites.

  • Financial
  • Process and assist Cluster Manager in the reviewing overall budget performance.Deliver against the numbers established.
  • Support delivery of financial performance and provide plans and actions where appropriate.
  • Health and Safety
  • Work with Crown’s compliance team to ensure all H&S areas are fully adhered to
  • Escalate all serious issues to Regional Cluster Manager at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure that the Management Centre, complies with all Health and Safety laws and requirements in line with Crown’s corporate (SHE) procedures.
  • Ensure that contractors are monitored and controlled in line with company and site procedures including the completion of work permits and associated documentation.
  • The upkeep of the Crown’s H&S system.
  • Ensure that all staff are trained accordingly in relation to all Health & Safety matters, including safe systems of work.
  • Ensure the sites are maintained through planned preventative maintenance and all required ad hoc work is successfully carried out within reasonable timescales.
  • Security
  • Ensure the daily facility lockdown procedure is monitored
  • Constantly improve security awareness and vigilance
  • Manage control procedures and ensure all contractors are appropriately registered/monitored whilst on sites within your control.
  • Monitor the out of hours’ on-call service
  • Human Resources
  • Guide and manage staff in accordance with HR policies, including managing disciplinary procedures, setting targets and the completion of back to work interviews and interface with occupational health providers where necessary.
