The Network Engineer (12 months FTC) is a member of a team which delivers exceptional technical support and the project delivery capability to manage, develop and secure our global network.The Network Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for operational support of Applicable’s cloud environments. Applicable’s cloud environments are O365 and Unified Communications As A Service (UCaaS) platforms hosted in geographically dispersed data centres across four continents. You will be responsible for the performance, maintenance and availability of all network components within an ITIL framework.You will participate in projects by deploying solutions that are secure, highly available and which meet the needs of our enterprise scale customers. You will deliver projects according to PRINCE2 methodology.You will be involved in:Delivering and supporting network services to ensure value for our customers, the users and ApplicableProject ownership or executing project tasks with network technologiesDesigning network solutions that are part of the strategic roadmap, customer or security requirementsOwnership of the technical solutions for assigned customersMaintenance of our network environmentParticipate in Applicable’s security and governance practiceDeployment or rationalisation of infrastructure in our data centresMaintain certification and industry awareness of network technologies and trendsParticipate in the Network team on-call rotaOther duties as directed by your manager from time to timeEssentialPrevious as a Network Engineer supporting successful enterprise-scale operations and projects.Certified to at least CCNA level or previously held CCNA certificationExperience from leading networking vendors e.g. Juniper, Cisco, f5 and DellExperience of routing, switching, security, firewalls and load balancingAbility to engage and communicate with staff at all levels within the company, partners, suppliers and customersNetworking with Microsoft public and private cloud environmentsExperience managing data centre-hosted infrastructureDesirableGood external-facing customer service skillsExposure to design/deployment of Microsoft products, especially Teams, Skype for Business and ExchangeOur ValuesCommit to ExcellenceBe flexible and agileTake ownership, take the initiativeUnderstand the customer and our value to themEfficiency of ExecutionWe review resumes as we receive them and interview as soon as we receive good applications.
