Annual salary: up to £32,000.00 Are you a hard working member of the community who wishes to benefit others around you We have opportunities for experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to be part of our dedicated Team within Mears Facilities Management,This role located predominantly in North Somerset and operates from our office in Pill: supporting planned and reactive M&E maintenance in commercial properties, within our Hard Services Facilities contract.As a skilled Operative you will be part of a local team undertaking high standard Multi Trade repairs and refurbishment activities to commercial, residential and public buildings delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.Responsibilities of the role: • You will have a certified core trade and complimenting this have the ability to deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.• Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. • Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID,• Condition of vehicles and maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety requirements. It may be necessary where requested to obtain Customer feedback on completion of works.• Process all activities in association with tasks/works electronically utilising a hand held device (PDA). This includes but not limited to Worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before – during – after, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments and methodstatements.• Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as required. Participate in call out cover if and when required to ensure contract compliance & service user satisfaction for emergency repairs.Candidate profileWe are looking to meet candidates who are qualified in a minimum of 1 trade discipline and having capabilities to undertake works from the following selection: or candidates with Qualified demonstrational multi trade experience in several of the below areas.Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering, Roofing, Plumbing, Damp Proof Coursing, Tiling or Glazing Candidates must have Post trade qualified in each trade. Essential Skills & Knowledge with written & verbal communication skills and Numeracy skills. Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures. Able to use a PDA following training.
