Job Description

Mechanical/Materials R&D Design Engineer £30,000 - £40,000 + 35 Days Holiday + Pension Bristol Are you a Mechanical and Materials Design Engineer with an understanding of pressurised systems and seal interfaces for LPG, hydraulics or similar, looking to work as part of the special projects division where you will work on exciting dynamic productsOn offer is a chance to be heavily involved in R&D developing bespoke, one off large product for a multitude of clients. Where you will be Involved in bespoke aircraft design, from inception to final type certification.Within the role you can expect support and specialist on the job training as well as working with a number of materials such as plastics, metals, fabrics etc. You will have a broad and varied interest in Engineering and manufacturing as well as looking to specialiseinto a niche and exciting field.This company are synonymous with Bristol and have a strong, global brans worldwide. They are the leading manufacturer in their market with clients coming to them from all over the world for their expertise.This role would suit a Mechanical and Materials Engineer with an understanding of pressurised systems and seal interfaces with experience of certification, as well as loading calculations, hand calculations and FEA looking for technical progression and personaldevelopment.THE ROLE

  • Understand pressurised systems and seal interfaces.
  • Experience certifying products
  • Practical knowledge of material science and sound understand of mechanical loading of structures.
  • Stakeholder management and the ability to deliver accurate and pragmatic updates on complex projects.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to deliver prototypes or test samples to support certification activities.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to be involved in experimental projects where product solutions are not obvious.
  • Ability to liaise with customers and aviation authority representatives in a professional and productive manner.
THE PERSON
  • Mechanical & Materials Engineering background
  • Stress/Strain/Loading hand calculations experience
  • Good all round project and R&D experience - working with varied materials and processes
