Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer with 1+ years CAD design industry experience required in the Bristol area. Our client, a manufacturing company in Warmley, BS30, specialises in high volume production of balancing machinery for the automotive and aerospace industries.

  • £28,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on qualifications or experience
  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm, with 45-minute lunch break
  • Free parking on site, or accessible by bus 43 and 19
  • Adjacent to Bath to Bristol cycle path with shower facilities on site making it ideal for anyone who commutes by bike

About the job
  • Working on various projects from the initial concept design through to final customer acceptance.
  • Concept design of rotating precision machinery and development with confirmation by calculations or Finite analysis or similar.
  • Support and problem-solve during manufacture, assembly, test
  • Design & detail for manufacture including BOM creation
  • Work to budgets and project timings
  • CE marking of equipment
  • Manage projects and work with customers as required
  • Work with and consult suppliers as necessary
The right candidate
  • Degree/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1 or 2 years CAD design industry experience
  • A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office products
