Mechanical Assembly Engineer

Mechanical assembly engineers required for permanent, full time work at a manufacturing company in Bristol, BS14

£26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience/qualifications.
MondayFriday, 39 hours per week
25 days holiday per year plus bank holidaysincreasing to 28 after 5 years service
Lots of overtime available - extra hours each day or on Saturday mornings
Overtime is paid at 1.5 x rate Monday to Saturday and 2 x rate for Sunday

About the role

Varied machinery assembly within a precision machinery environment
Build mechanical components into sub-assemblies and through to machine systems
Completion of a whole assemblies, using drawings and parts list.
Knowledge of the correct fit of tolerances required for successful sub-assembly operation
Complete any quality documentation required for the tasks
Identify problems with assemblies / parts and raise any quality issues following the company procedures

The right candidate

Several years of previous mechanical assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment
Computer literate
Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials
Good dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and mechanical components
Previous experience working with machinery with moving / rotating parts, automation machines etc - for example printing presses, packaging machines, automation equipment etc
