Job Description

North Bristol As a Management Accountant, you will be assisting to produce management reports, budgets, and other financial analysis to enable the business to make well informed decisions. For the successful candidate, this position will offer a competitive salary as well as the opportunity to work within a very energetic working culture.As a Management Accountant, youll be responsible for:

  • Support line manager in the delivery of month-end timetable, ensuring P&L’s and central cost reports are issued to budget holders to timetable.
  • Business Partner and conduct central month end reviews with Board Members and other budget holders to ensure targets are adhered to and any risks or opportunities are highlighted.
  • Conduct own month-end balance sheet reconciliations highlight risks and opportunities promptly.
  • Work closely with Line Manager with central budget collation and submission as part of the overall annual budget process.
  • Liaise with budget holders to sign off plans within the overall budget assumptions.
  • Support FBPs in the production of budgets, ensuring they are robust and accurate as possible.
  • Be number 2 in the team, stepping in and leading the rest of the team in line manager’s absence and supporting the Head of Finance where necessary.
    • The skills youll need to have are:
  • Qualified/Newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Demonstrable experience of working in management accounting for a multi-site business
  • Experience in preparing year end accounts essential
