Job Description

Domestic Violence Worker - Male services LOCATION: BristolSALARY: £23,623.19 per annum - £25,663.19 per annumDURATION: PermHOURS: 18.75 - Between Monday-Friday during office hoursWe have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to work for a leading charity that provides support to male victims and survivors, for 18.75 hours a week.As an IDVA supporting male victims & survivors you will:

  • Contact, identify & assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims
  • Manage a caseload of victims of domestic abuse
  • Provide face-to-face emotional support, advice, information & advocacy
  • Explore personal safety, legal & civil options, housing, child contact, health & finance options & support through the criminal justice system
  • Work with local agencies & partners whose services victims may require
  • Provide high quality accommodation & housing related support to men who have experienced domestic abuse.
  • Provide individual & group work support to men and who are living in the Safe House
  • Provide housing management welcoming new residents, ensuring a supportive, homely, and safe environment, complete sign-up paperwork & assist with welfare benefits claims
